cox graae + spack architects designed the Fine Arts Center as the first phase of a master plan for The Langley School. Langley, an independent lower school serving about 500 students, lacked a gateway to their campus and was in need of consolidating their music and visual art instruction after a campus reorganization. cg+s designed the Fine Arts Center as a dramatic new focus for the arts with a glass-walled lobby, 400-seat multi-function auditorium space with flexible telescopic theater seating, and classrooms for music and visual arts instruction on the second floor.
