cox graae + spack architects developed a 5-phase development program to transform the Potomac Job Corps Center in Washington DC. The US Department of Labor is seeking to elevate the Center into a flagship facility after which the nation’s other centers will be modeled. The Potomac Job Corp Center provides job-training for economically disadvantaged youth ages 16 – 20. This first phase of the program involved substantial site and utility improvements and the construction of a new Recreation Center and a new Cafeteria/Culinary Arts Building.
