cox graae + spack architects designed the new Student Center on the Madeira School campus to provide a central gathering place in the heart of campus and act as a welcoming gateway to the inner campus. Madeira School, an independent boarding school for girls, commissioned the project as a first phase of a campus master plan to incrementally upgrade key parts of campus. The new multi-purpose building combines a student lounge, bookstore, post office and administrative office space with a new 400-seat dining hall and associated kitchen and servery.
