cox graae + spack architects served as the associate architect for Georgetown University’s new Hariri Building for the McDonough School of Business. The new facility consolidates the school’s renowned undergraduate and MBA programs. cox graae + spack architects was responsible for the design of the Shea Undergraduate Commons located in the first floor of the Pavilion, an independent element within the atrium. The Undergraduate Commons features a floating wood ceiling element to accentuate the room’s unique elliptical shape. The Commons is designed to provide comfortable space for group and independent study with various seating spaces and its long, modern laptop bar.
