cox graae + spack architects designed Georgetown Preparatory School's new Learning Center. Prep, a boys Catholic preparatory school, desired to adapt their outdated gymnasium facility to provide additional academic space, a new student gathering place, and library center. cg+s completely reconfigured the original gymnasium into a first-class library facility with a soaring reading room. Below the library floor, ten full-sized classrooms replace the original locker room facility. A contemporary glass-roofed addition to the original gymnasium structure serves as a campus hub and meeting space with a full service café and student lounge areas.
