William Spack AIA
Bill Spack is a founding principal of cox graae + spack architects and has been with our firm since 1986. Bill’s design and management focus centers on our services for public, independent, and charter school K-12 education facilities, religious projects and community-based programs. He is also involved in the design of facilities on some of the most prestigious University campuses to include Georgetown University and Catholic University of America.
Bill brings over 32 years of design and project management experience. His specialized expertise includes historic preservation and adaptive reuse programs as well as the integration of new construction in an existing historic context. Several of Bill’s notable projects include Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School and Monastery, HD Woodson Senior High School, Western Presbyterian Church and Ridge Road Recreation Center.
Bill received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Maryland at College Park. He is professionally registered in the District of Columbia, Virginia and Maryland and is certified through Virginia’s Bureau of Capital Outlay Management (BCOM). Bill is a member of the American Institute of Architects, is on the Board of Directors for the DC Chapter of the AIA, and a former commissioner for Arlington County’s Historic Affairs Landmark Review Board (HALRB).
Bill donates much of his time mentoring architecture students and serving on design and award juries for local architecture schools and other design organizations. He is an ACE mentor and dedicates his time to inspiring students interested in pursuing careers in design and construction. Bill is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the DC Chapter of the AIA.
