Principal Christoffer Graae Speaks at 2013 Northeast Regional CEFPI Conference

April 29, 2013. On April 17, 2013, Christoffer Graae travelled to Pittsburgh to speak at this year's Council of Educational Facility Planners International (CEFPI) Northeast Regional Conference.  His presentation, Woodrow Wilson High School: Transforming a Diamond in the Rough, touched on the project's challenges, solutions and its sustainability.  Certainly fitting, just days after the school's induction into the District of Columbia's elite group of Green Ribbon Schools. Chris spent three days at the conference, (April 18-20) taking part in workshops, events and networking with other CEFPI members.  Chris has over 30 years designing educational facilities.  He has been a member of CEFPI for approximately five years and continues to work closely with the organization to the benefit of thousands of students, faculty and communities. CEFPI is a non-profit founded in 1921 and has since had a mission to improve the places where children learn. CEFPI members, individuals, institutions & corporations are actively involved in planning, designing, building, equipping and maintaining schools and colleges.

May 7, 2012. AIA’s Committee on Architecture for Education is offering a day-long tour during the AIA National Convention on May 16, 2012 of High-Performance Schools in the Washington, DC area. Woodrow Wilson High School will be as an example of a LEED Gold modernization of an existing historic campus.
