cox graae + spack gives back to DC schools

August 7, 2013.

On August 24, 2013, cox graae + spack will be taking part in the annual DCPS Beautification Day at Jefferson Academy. The event is a collaborative effort to spruce up one of the District’s schools with small improvement projects.  This year’s beautification activities are likely to include mural painting, landscaping, and other small projects to create a warm welcome for students returning to school in the fall.

Our firm takes great pride in the work we do modernizing DC schools.  This event offers us the opportunity to expand our impact by helping DC students in a different and refreshing way.

 What you can do:

There are certain items needed to aid in the effort to spruce up Jefferson Academy located at 801 7th Street, SW in Washington, DC.  Perhaps you can contribute the following:

  1. Paint brushes
  2. Roller brushes
  3. Paint
  4. Soil
  5. Flowers
  6. Plants
  7. Shovels
  8. Outdoor brooms

This year’s event will also kick-off its first School Supply / Book Donation Drive.  This is an opportunity to provide new school supplies and unused books to students who are less fortunate (all items must be new).  There are three convenient drop locations for donations:
